Acupuncture

When you have pain or illness, there tends to be stagnation throughout the body. An old injury can cause chronic back or shoulder pain, or stress over a long period of time can cause blockages in your body to produce many symptoms. When that injury occurred or when you were stressed, your body no longer functioned in its optimal state.

Acupuncture involves inserting very thin needles at various acupoints found on the body. Acupoints are specifically chosen based on your condition and individual body’s constitution. The needles at the acupoints access Qi (energy) that flows through your body. In this way, we can direct the flow of your body’s natural pathways and reintroduce its natural state. As your body restores its natural flow, pain and symptoms will lessen over time.

In Chinese Medicine, we look at major organs and how each organ plays different roles for your body. Over time, they can weaken or be affected by environmental factors. Acupuncture is one way we can reinvigorate the organs to perform optimally.
